How it works

Three steps and you have been paid.

No terminal, no paperwork, no waiting for a month-end payout. Your customer pays with what is already on their phone, and you see the payment there and then.

01

You show your code

You type the amount and show the QR code on screen. You can also leave a printed card on the table or hanging at the stall with your fixed code: then the customer types the figure.

02

The guest pays from their bank

The European EPC/SEPA code fills in IBAN, name and amount by itself. Anyone who prefers picks Bizum, Revolut or PayPal on the same page, with nothing to install.

03

The money is yours at once

The amount reaches your account like any transfer: no held balance, no two-day wait and nobody taking a cut along the way.

End of shift

If there are several of you: the end of the shift, without arguments.

At the set time the app offers to close. Everyone declares what they took, you choose the split — equal shares, by hours or by percentage — and the app works out the minimum transfers to even things up.

  • The report is saved and can no longer be edited or deleted: the database prevents it.
  • Every correction stays on the record, with the previous figure beside it.
  • Everyone approves or disputes, and the note is visible to the whole team.
  • A log of every action, plus CSV export for the accountant.

Why it stays simple

What the app does not do.

It never touches the money

No holding account and no retained balance: the amount goes from the guest to the waiter's account.

It never asks for card details

No card, no terminal and no gateway: only your bank's QR code and the apps you already use.

It never lets the report change

Once the shift is closed the report stands. Corrections are added, never substituted.

It never makes the guest sign up

They open the page, type the amount and pay. In Spanish, English, German, Italian or French.

Questions

What people always ask.

Can people pay by card?

Yes, if the person getting paid adds their SumUp, PayPal, Revolut or Stripe link: it shows up as one more option. On that route the provider keeps a small fee, as any card machine would. By transfer or Bizum nobody keeps anything, and that is what your customer sees first.

Do we need a company or a payment licence?

No. The app neither holds nor moves funds: it creates a QR code and a payment link to each waiter's own account. The tip is an ordinary transfer or Bizum between two people.

Which banks read the QR code?

The European EPC QR code is read by many banking apps in the euro area. With some Spanish banks and with UK ones, the guest copies IBAN and amount with one tap, or pays by Bizum, Revolut or PayPal.

What about cash tips?

They are noted by hand in a second, with the same button. They join the split just like digital ones, which is why the shift report adds up.

Is there anything to pay?

There is no commission on tips. During the private phase access is by invitation and free for the venues testing it with us.

I sell at a market stall — does it work for me?

Yes: it is the same QR code. You print your code, hang it at the stall, and the customer types the amount and pays from their bank. You need no card machine and not even your own connection: the customer's phone is enough.

Does Koobro invoice or do my books?

No. Koobro records what you take and exports it to CSV for your accountant, but it issues no invoices and declares nothing on your behalf: what you invoice and declare stays between you and your adviser.
